LANSING -- A 52-year-old Negro has been live with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old pupil who was missing for a period before existence institute Monday, officials said today.
Franklyn Ervin Carey was arraigned today in 54A District Court on two counts of first-degree malefactor sexed conduct, digit calculate of second-degree malefactor sexed carry and two counts of third-degree malefactor sexed conduct.
Carey, who was the boy’s neighbor, is existence held at the Ingham County Jail on a $500,000 bond. The questionable assaults occurred at Carey’s home.
The pupil left his family’s bag Dec. 8 to go to Pattengill Middle School, but did not arrive at school, personnel said. He was then seen Dec. 12 in downtown Lansing sport a bicycle.
The boy, who was thoughtful a runaway, was institute weekday afternoon.
